Since 1993 I have enjoyed developing computer algorithms to rank the performance of sports teams. In particular, I have focused on College Football.

In August 2022 this website was moved from http://www.phys.utk.edu/sorensen/ranking/ (a server in the Department of Physics at the University of Tennessee) to http://sorensen.info/rankings (hosted by Hostgator.com). The new website is still under construction, so please be patient. I will appreciate any constructive emails pointing out issues, problems or potential improvements.

If you find errors or inaccuracies in the data please do not hesitate to notify me at sorensen@utk.edu. Many of the conference and division assignments for the historical data have not yet been verified.
